The church will never be built on the gifts and talents of a few, but on the sacrifice of many!

We see an army of passionate and committed people carrying the load together. A movement of willing hearts, dedicated to serving others and building God’s house.

We try to make it easy for everyone to volunteer in our church, so there is no set minimum requirement or amount of time you can serve. Ideally, the majority of our volunteers are serving in a service each weekend, however if you can only serve once a fortnight or once a month then we can make room for you too.

Areas to be involved

Bump Team

Since we don’t own our venue, setting up and packing down will form major parts of getting ready for church. Starting from scratch every time we have a church gathering can be a challenge, unless you are part of the willing team. If you are an early riser, then this is definitely for you, if not, join the pack down team!!! There is a place for you.

Working behind the scenes to make sure church is set up to run smoothly every Sunday is one of the key aspects of making church happen.

Arrivals Team

Church begins from the moment people enter the car park, so it’s key for us to do whatever it takes to break down the obstacles that make it hard for people to enjoy church. It is so important that people feel ‘welcomed home’ when they come to church. The Arrivals Team is integral for this to happen.

Communications (Website, Graphic Design, Photography& Public Relations)

Communicating who we are as a church, whether it be through printed material, newspaper articles or our website, it is important that we stay true to our brand and mission. Capturing every memorable moment in church life is so important. If you are camera/snap happy, then be sure to join this team!

This volunteer opportunity requires mid-week participation.

Community Care

Do you want to be involved in seeing lives restored, bring hope and practical answers to broken humanity? Whether you want to serve in the soup kitchen or organise clothes for the homeless or help with any current project that serves the community then this is team for you.

Info Desks

Helping people connect in church is essential. The Information Desk Team, does not only help with giving out general church info, but they help people make connections in teams, connect groups and in many other areas of church life.

New Christians Team

The most valuable time in a church service is when people have opportunity to surrender their lives to Jesus. As a New Christians Team Volunteer, you will have chance to connect with these people as they just commit their lives. It requires maturity and sensitivity on every level, but most of all a friendly face and a warm smile, so hop on board if that’s you!

Welcome Team & Lounge

Visitors and new people come through the doors of church every week. People may be from out of town or even looking for a new church home. In this team, you will be able to connect with people on a deeper level than a ‘hi’ in the passage. If you love meeting new people, then this is for you. After our services we have a Welcome Lounge were people can meet with some of our team and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.

Creative Design (Set/Stage Design, Decorative/Interior Design)

You will be a part of a dynamic creative team that will ‘beautify’ church. Everything from ensuring flowers are arranged amazingly to making sure candles are lit, every fine details when it comes to all the ‘interior design’ elements of making church beautiful.

Events Team

The events team helps to see to it that the finer details are catered for in church life. They will assist other teams to do what they need to do, and help see that all the operational and logistics are covered.

Hillsong Creative, Worship Team (Musician or Vocalist)

If you would like to be a part of a team that musically leads our church with worship, then this is the team for you. If you can sing or play a musical instrument, dance or do drama, then we want you!

Hosts

Our Host Team will help you find the ‘best seat in the house’ when you come to church. This team also helps take up the offering and is sure to give you a smile when you leave.

Kids Team

Want a chance to help shape the next generation? Kids ministry is jam packed with Jesus, fun and life. Time spent investing into children’s lives is invaluable and rewarding as you see them grow in God. It won’t be the same without you!

Multi – Media (Directing, Producing & Video Editing, Camera Operation)

The Media team plays an important role in the service. Each member of the Media Team contribute to our whole church being able to see and hear the message effectively. If you have skills in this industry or would like to learn more about how to be a blessing through this, then this is the team for you.

Production Team (Sound, Lighting, Stage Managing, Television)

Atmosphere is so important. When joining the Production Team, you will be a part of a team that builds atmosphere for people’s hearts to be opened. If you are handing with sound equipment, can find your way around a television camera or have a nack for doing cool things with lights… we would love to have you in this team. Every area of church, from kids program to main auditorium to foyers etc. will all need your attention!!

Resources

Hillsong Music is much loved around the world. We will have the opportunity of making it available to our congregation on a weekly basis. We will also be able to provide people with audio copies of the sermons being preached in our own services on a weekend. Being able to help people get resourced to build into their lives with teaching and preaching and worship material is a great opportunity.

Venue Control/Security

Making sure our venues are safe for everyone, it is so important to have friendly volunteers serving in the area of Venue Control.

Youth (Fuel-Grade 6-8, Wildlife- Grade 9-12, Powerhouse- 18-25yrs)

Like the kids team, we are after people who want to see the next generation loving Jesus and empowered to make a difference in their worlds. This is an amazing opportunity to build relationships with young people and watch them grow and mature in God. Not to be missed.
