We’re beginning a brand new series called ‘Favour’ – learning what God’s favour on our lives really looks like & how we can walk in His divine favour everyday!!

2. LESOTHO MISSIONS TRIP :: PRICE REDUCTION!

If you are still thinking about going on the upcoming Lesotho Missions Trip, we have been able to reduce the price due to some donations that have been made available to us. The new price is R6600 which will include flights, ground transport, accommodation, and food. We will be opening at 5.30pm and will require kids to picked up by 11.30pm.

We are stepping into a brand new season of church life… We trust you were encouraged by the Vision Sunday presentation. It’s exciting to be part of what God is doing all over the earth!

Let’s remember the verse Ps. Brian shared Ps. 65:11 – ‘You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance‘. We are believing for the favour of God to be on our church family this year and on all our endeavours. Don’t let a negative moment, or tough situation stop you from reaching out to God and asking boldly for His favour. Through Jesus Christ we have been granted the favour of God so let’s believe to see it this year and continue to be thankful!

We are privileged to have Ken Costa with us at our evening services. Ken Costa was born in South Africa, he spent 30 years working for an investment bank in London and served as Vice-Chairman of UBS Investment Bank. He is also the Chairman of Alpha International.

This Sunday February 5 is a day of fresh inspiration as we are stirred for our global church vision. It’s always a highlight Sunday, and we encourage you to make every effort to be at a church. The presentation is powerful and helps to remind us that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves – the church of Jesus Christ! What an honour that He has entrusted us…

It’s one thing to hear about something and another thing to catch it in your heart & spirit. VISION Sunday is an opportunity for all of us to catch the vision and RUN with it this year!

We trust you are having a great week! Our Powerhouse Summer Camp for 18-25 year olds has been absolutely amazing! It truly has been a God encounter. We believe God is stirring this generation to live radically, passionately & courageously for Him!

We encourage you to continue to pray that God will cause the youth & young adults to stand for Him and bring positive change to the nation of South Africa. The future of our nation is always in the hands of the youth, but we all play a part in seeing and encouraging them to grow in faith.

Hi Church,

We’re seriously excited about what God is ALREADY doing this year! There is anticipation in the air, and we pray that you personally are stirred about God’s plan & purpose for your life in 2012. Don’t just go through the motions of another year, keep walking forward with faith in your heart, and remember as God spoke to his people in 2 Chr. 20:15 – “Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” So remind yourself today, He is going before us and fighting battles on our behalf. Rest in him while boldly stepping out in faith today!

I love to bake. It’s happened that I’ve whipped out a plateful of home-baked goodies and heard someone exclaim, ‘What a Proverbs 31 woman!’ On these occasions, I would usually smile politely, but on the inside I’m going: ‘What?! Did they see the piles of unfolded washing on my couch?! Did they notice that I didn’t make time for that man in need while I was too busy with my kids?! Do they know that I can be insecure and self-conscious?! Hardly Proverbs 31 material…’

Are there other women like me, who, at times, are inspired by this super-woman in Proverbs 31 and, at other times, find their hearts sink as they recognise how far they feel they are from attaining super-woman status?
But I’m not one who dwells too long on my own failings. I must have some sort of instinctive optimism that forces me to say, ‘I definitely haven’t made it. In fact, I’m not doing too well, but I’ll get better!’ And surely this is why the tale of one courageous, godly, tender-hearted woman was included at the end of the book of wisdom: not for us to despair, but for us to hope.

So we stick this revelation on our fridges and our noticeboards. We listen to podcasts and read books about it. We write it on our minds and our hearts. When we’re tempted to be lazy, we hear: ‘she does not eat the bread of idleness’; when we’re tempted to be self-absorbed, we hear: ‘she opens her arms to the poor’; when we’re tempted to be timid, we hear: ‘she is clothed with strength and dignity.’

And little by little, the Word does its work in our lives, transforming us into the image that God designed. And we are grateful that he has given us a vision to aspire to.

Hi Church!

We are so looking forward to church this weekend! We’ve been on holiday and feel rested and ready for an amazing year…Ps. Brian has been speaking about 2012 as a year full of God’s favour & we are believing that we will experience God’s favour in beautiful & unexpected ways!

God’s favour is not something we can force, or strive to achieve…but rather we rest in his favour. We believe favour is an overflow of a life passionately dedicated to living for Him! As we honor Christ, and grow in our devotion to him, our perspective changes. Rather than getting angry, hurt, depressed, discouraged…we trust, hope, believe and from there we see God’s favour overwhelm our lives. Deuteronomy 28:2-3 speaks of God’s blessings over our lives…Let’s believe to see this as we obey Him fully in 2012!
