Connect Groups
Connect Groups are at the heart of our Church family, and a great way to get to know people and build lasting friendships.
Interestingly, the first Connect Groups date back 2 000 years, although they weren’t called that then. Nonetheless, when the apostles spread the Good News about Christ, groups of early believers gathered in homes to share meals, prayer, fellowship, and teaching. In Acts 2: 44 & 46, Luke writes, ‘And all the believers met together constantly and shared everything they had. . . They worshipped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity – all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people.’ And so, they grew in their faith and in their friendships as they did life together.
We do much the same in our modern Connect Groups, except that, here in Cape Town, we also braai together.
